Which restroom option fits my wedding?
Wedding restrooms come in 4 levels: standard units with a hand wash, deluxe flushing units with a sink, a VIP flushing cabin, and a restroom trailer. Guest count, budget and power at the venue decide the choice. A restroom trailer needs a 110-volt, 20-amp outlet within 100 feet.

| Option | Best for | What guests get | Venue needs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard units + hand wash | Casual or large guest lists on a tight budget | Seat, urinal, sanitizer; soap and water at the Bravo station | Level ground, 10-ft path |
| Deluxe flushing unit | Mid-size weddings that want a step up | Foot-pump flush, interior sink, about 24% more room | Level ground, 10-ft path |
| VIP flushing cabin | Small weddings, or a private bridal party restroom | Flush toilet, vanity sink, mirror, interior light | Flat spot about 5 × 5 ft, truck access |
| Restroom trailer | Formal receptions and long evenings | Separate doors, flushing toilets, running-water sinks, climate control | 110-V 20-A outlet within 100 ft, water or tank fill, level ground about 20 ft long |
Many couples mix levels. A trailer or VIP cabin serves the wedding party and older guests, and two standard units with a hand wash handle the overflow near the dance floor.
How many restrooms does a 150-guest wedding with a bar need?
A 150-guest wedding lasting 5 hours with a bar needs 5 units under our method. The math is 150 × 5 ÷ 200 = 3.75, rounded up to 4 units. The bar adds 20%, with a minimum of 1 unit, for a total of 5. Make 1 of the 5 wheelchair-accessible.
Here is the method in steps, so you can check our numbers.
- Multiply guests by hours: 150 × 5 = 750.
- Divide by 200: 750 ÷ 200 = 3.75. Round up to 4.
- Add 20% for the bar: 4 × 0.2 = 0.8. Round up to 1 more unit. Total 5.
- Make at least 1 unit wheelchair-accessible.
- Add 1 two-station hand wash per 4 toilets: 5 toilets means 2 stations.
The table below runs the same steps for other guest counts at a 5-hour reception with a bar. For different hours, use the guest count calculator.
| Guests (5-hour reception, bar) | Toilets | Wheelchair-accessible (of those) | Two-station hand wash |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | 3 | 1 | 1 |
| 100 | 4 | 1 | 1 |
| 150 | 5 | 1 | 2 |
| 200 | 6 | 1 | 2 |
| 250 | 9 | 1 | 3 |

(864) 209-8789Free quoteCan you deliver the day before for the rehearsal?
Wedding restrooms are delivered 1 day before the wedding, so units are ready for a Friday rehearsal. A Saturday wedding gets a Friday drop between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. and a Monday pickup at no extra charge. A Thursday rehearsal can get a Thursday drop by request.
Restroom trailers take longer to set than a standard unit. We level the trailer, connect power and water, and test every sink and flush. Plan for the trailer to land the day before so nothing rushes your morning.
- Give the venue coordinator our delivery window so the gate is open.
- Mark the exact spot with stakes or ribbon. Your planner can text us a photo.
- Pickup is Monday. Sunday pickup is not offered.
Where should restrooms go so they stay out of the photos?
Place wedding restrooms behind the ceremony seating and off to one side, about 75 to 150 feet from the arch. Keep restrooms at least 10 feet from tents and catering. Turn the doors away from the aisle so the backdrop in photos stays clean.
Walk the venue with your photographer and look at the main shots. The ceremony faces one way and the reception tent faces another. Put the restrooms where neither camera points.
- A barn corner, tree line or parked catering van makes a natural screen.
- Keep a short, flat path to the dance floor. Guests in heels should not cross wet grass on a slope.
- On red clay, ask for the restrooms on gravel, a drive edge or plywood. Rain turns clay slick fast.
- Restroom trailers need a level pad about 20 feet long, plus a lane for our truck to back in.

How do guests find the restrooms after dark?
Standard and deluxe units have no built-in light, so evening weddings need outside lighting. The VIP cabin and the restroom trailer both have interior lighting. A string of 2 or 3 path lights from the dance floor to the restrooms keeps guests safe after sunset.

Summer sunsets in the Upstate come late, but receptions often run past 9 p.m. Plan the lights before the day.
- Hang string lights or solar stakes along the path.
- Put a battery lantern on a hook outside standard units.
- Choose a trailer or VIP cabin if most of the party happens after dark.
What does a restroom trailer need at a barn or backyard venue?
A 2-station restroom trailer needs 3 things: a dedicated 110-volt, 20-amp outlet within 100 feet, a garden hose connection or onboard tank fill, and level ground about 20 feet long. When no outlet is close, we bring a generator, and the generator shows as its own quoted line.
Barn venues often share one circuit with the band and the caterer. A dedicated outlet means nothing else runs on that breaker. Ask the venue manager which outlet is free.
- Find the outlet and measure the distance to the trailer spot.
- Check for a hose bib, or plan on the onboard fresh-water tank.
- Walk the truck path for low branches, soft ground and tight turns.
- Send us photos and we will confirm the setup before you book.

Questions renters ask before booking
What's a wedding-grade unit, and what would you recommend for 80 to 150 guests?
A wedding-grade setup means event-only units that arrive washed and stocked, plus soap and water. For 80 to 150 guests over 5 hours with a bar, plan on 4 or 5 units with 2 hand wash stations, or a restroom trailer for part of the load. We size the order from your guest list.
How much is a restroom trailer for a wedding weekend?
What does the VIP cabin cost compared with a regular porta potty?
The VIP flushing cabin starts at $425 for an event, while a standard event unit starts at $165. A deluxe flushing unit with a sink starts at $295. All three include delivery and pickup within 25 miles, and the itemized quote is final.
Do the units come in a color other than blue?
Event units come in blue, gray and pink. Ask for a color when you book, and we will match it if the color is free on your date.
Our venue has one bathroom. Do I still need to rent something?
A single indoor bathroom can handle a short ceremony, but a 150-guest reception with a bar backs it up fast. Adding 2 to 4 units outside keeps the line short and protects the venue plumbing.
How far ahead should we book for a June wedding?
Book restroom trailers and VIP cabins 2 to 3 months ahead for May through October weekends. Standard units are easier to get, but booking a month ahead locks your date. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before delivery.
Can the trailer run off the barn's outlet?
The trailer runs on a standard 110-volt outlet when that outlet sits on its own 20-amp circuit within 100 feet. Shared circuits with a band or caterer can trip the breaker. Send us a photo of the panel or outlet and we will tell you.
